Leslie Dwane Morris was born May 25, 1946 in Dallas, TX and passed from this life on October 31, 2023 in Waxahachie, TX.

Dwane had many loves. He loved animals of any kind, life at the lake, all sports, Nascar, and John Wayne movies. As important as all of these were to him, there is nothing he loved more than his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Les Morris; his mother, Margie Morris Winburn; and his son-in-law, Tim Sutton,

Dwane is survived by his wife, Lavaughn Morris; his daughters, Cammie Morris, Ronda Sutton, and Carrie Rutledge and husband, Shane; his son, Bryan Holt and wife, Jenny; his grandchildren, Jessie Lee, Jonathan Morris, Kirstie & Christopher Sutton, Ryan Rutledge, and Jessica Griffith; his great-grandchildren, Makynzie Lee, Quinton & Heather Morris, and Greyson Griffith.

Military graveside service will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Lane #4
