Linda Sue Fields was born July 14, 1941 in Dike near Sulpher Springs, TX and joined her beloved husband, Larry, just 2 days later on July 9, 2024 in Lancaster, TX.
Larry and Linda loved life and loved doing things together. Larry was a machinist, spent his formative and educational years in Hutchins, and with a friend started a successful business, Garfield Machine Shop in Lancaster. Linda was an office manager and spent her formative and educational years in Dallas. When they weren't working, doing anything outdoors was their passion. They enjoyed hunting and target shooting. They loved sports, loyally watched the Rangers, and got to attend 3 Super Bowls in the 1990s when the Cowboys were on a roll. They traveled as much as they could. The went on multiple cruises, made many trips to Las Vegas, and loved Hawaii and Alaska. As they got a little older, bird watching, putting together puzzles, and watching various crime shows became their passion.
She was preceded in death by Larry; her parents, Coleman and Evelyn Trout; and her brothers, John Stubbs and Robert Trout.
Linda is survived by her children, Wesley Latham, Clifford Latham, and Lisa Stricklan; her grandchildren, Jenifer Jackson and Lyndsey Strickland; her great-grandson, Parker Strickland; her brother, David Trout; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a celebration of Larry and Linda's lives at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.
