Linda Kay High was born on August 20, 1948 to Guy and Doris Hubbard. Following a brief illness, she found peace on March 24, 2023 in her home of Lancaster, Texas, lifted up by her husband, Louis and her two daughters.

In 1972, she moved to Lancaster and was a vibrant presence in her community with a joy for living and home full of laughter. Through the years, she enjoyed traveling, golf, and sports. She was a passionate woman who spoke her mind, was a dedicated mother, and a loving wife.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Hubbard, her father, Guy Hubbard, and her brother, Earl Sewell, Jr. Her surviving family includes her husband Louis Halfmann, sister Janis Jenkins, brother Jimmy Hubbard, daughters Kristi Whitenton, Keri Holder, and Chastika Schmidt, sons-in-law Gregg Whitenton, Derrick Holder, and J.K. Schmidt, grandchildren Joseph Whitenton, Ainsley Holder, Ferris Holder, Matelyn Glentz, and Raegan Glentz , great-grandson Thomas Whitenton, sisters-in-law Lynette Sewell and Evelyn Gilbert, niece Rachel Welch, and nephews Michael Sewell, Gary Sewell, Christopher Welch, Sterlin Gilbert, and Brady Gilbert.

The immediate family will celebrate her life in a small private gathering at a later date.
