Linda Lea Waters Crowe, 86 of Chapman, KS passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022 of natural causes.
Linda was born on Nov. 10, 1936 to Orbie L. Waters and Marie McFarland Waters in Lancaster, TX.
In 1955, Linda graduated from Lancaster High School where she was on the basketball team.
Linda married her high school sweetheart, Carl Wayne Mitchell in 1954 and went on to have three children, Rodney, Lea Anne and James. She later married Jack Crowe and moved to Denver, CO and Birmingham, AL before returning to Dallas. She loved fishing, painting, road trips and was an avid reader of murder mysteries.
In 1999 Linda retired and moved to St. Louis, MO to be near her daughter, Lea Anne. Then in 2018, she moved to Chapman, KS to be closer to her son, James.
Linda is predeceased by son, Rodney Wayne Mitchell and brother, Melvin Waters. She is survived by Lea Anne Mitchell-Albers and grandson Matthew Mitchell Albers, James Allen Mitchell and children, Sandra Grubb and husband Ryan their children, Maddison and Oliva, Randy Mitchell and wife Nancy, Crystal Mitchell and her children Michael and Emma. Rodney's children, James Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Nick Mitchell, Katrina Swindle and Lizzie Bell.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster, TX.
