Lisa Marie Mills, 47, of Brock, Texas passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lisa was born in DeSoto, Texas, on January 12, 1971, to Thomas and Betty Vincent. She was raised in DeSoto, graduating from DeSoto High School in 1989. She attended Abilene Christian University where she received her teaching degree and met the love of her life, Michael Mills. Lisa fulfilled her passion for teaching with 20 years of service to her students. She loved her family and friends whole heartedly and had a way of brightening a room when she walked in. Her incredible strength, faith, and love for life will be missed by so many.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Mills; daughter, Natalie Mills; son, Korbin Mills, all of Brock, Texas; her father, Thomas Vincent, of DeSoto, Texas; one brother, Paul Vincent and wife, Toni, of Waxahachie, Texas; and her mother-in-law, along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded by her mother, Betty Vincent; and sister-in- law, Paige Thornton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
