Lloyd Wayne "Bear" Spencer Jr.
July 20, 1950 – October 2, 2025

Lloyd Wayne "Bear" Spencer Jr., 75, of Dallas, Texas, was born in Waynoka, Oklahoma on July 20, 1950, and took his last ride on October 2, 2025.

Bear was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose life was centered around family, hard work, and service to others. He shared 51 wonderful years with his wife, Margie Spencer, who was his constant companion and partner through every season of life.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Kristy Wickens and her husband Jason; Jeffrey and his wife Jennifer; and Ian and his wife Keta. Bear's pride and joy were his grandchildren: Katy and her husband Josh, Kyle, Julia, Evelyn, J.D., and Sarah, as well as his great-granddaughters Olivia and Ameila.

He is also survived by his siblings: Sharon Jones and her husband Jim, Ricky Spencer, Debbie Whittington, and Karen West and her husband Doug; and by his sisters-in-law Helen, Alice, and Cathy Macik.

Bear was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Wayne "Shorty" Spencer Sr. and Billy Ruth Spencer; his brother, Jimmy Lee Spencer; and his parents-in-law, Stanley and Evelyn Macik.

He was a craftsman and woodworker, a self-proclaimed jack of all trades but master of none, who could fix or build just about anything. Was also known for numerous recipes that he enjoyed preparing for his family and friends. His strong work ethic began early, working on construction crews that built many structures throughout North Texas. Later, he dedicated 25 years to the Dallas County Community College District, retiring from El Centro College in 2011.

Bear was a proud Army veteran and served his country with honor. After retirement, his love of country and motorcycles led him to become a member of the Patriot Guard honoring those who served on their final ride.

He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, sense of humor, and the lasting impact he made on his family, friends, and community.
