Loyce Marie Dyess Moore, 93, passed away on July 10, 2024 in Corsicana, Texas. Loyce Marie was the first of seven born to Earl W. and Hazel Reynolds Dyess on September 26, 1930 in Ellis County Texas.

She met and married the love of her life, Frank Moore in 1946 at Tipton's Roller Rink in DeSoto. They shared 73 years of happiness until Frank's death in 2020. Life was never the same for Loyce Marie. Their homes were in the Hutchins and Lancaster area during the shared years. They enjoyed traveling to many destinations and time spent at the deer leases with family and friends. The stories were fun to hear. Loyce Marie would get excited about their trips to Las Vegas. Those that knew them could not figure out why they looked forward to these trips because they did not drink alcohol or gamble big (mainly penny and nickel slots). They would say, "the shows, sites, excitement and people."

Loyce Marie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She could out do anyone with her wonderful cooking and her beautifully hand embroidery items. The most pleasure she got from this talent was giving them to special people. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially the little ones.

Loyce Marie attended Wilmer-Hutchins Schools and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Hutchins. She was a homemaker raising her daughters. Later she had a 20-year career with LISD Food Service as the manager at Pleasant Run Elementary. "MeMe" loved children and giving them her undivided attention. The grands, great-grands, and great-great-grands loved MeMe, and she loved them. It's remarkable that five generations truly knew and spent time together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank J. Moore; her son-in-law, Bob Briggs; her siblings, James Earl Dyess, Joy Fay Ward, John W. Dyess, and JoAnn Peck.

Loyce Marie leaves behind her daughters, Patricia Gail Briggs, Julie M. Spradlin and husband Kirk Smith; her grandchildren, Shelly Moran and husband Lucky Louque, Cole Spradlin and wife Erin, Holt Spradlin and wife Misty; her great-grandchildren, Jacey Grider and husband Matt, Marcey Posada and husband Paco, C.J., Charlie, Macey, and Kylie Spradlin; her great-great-grandchildren, Caroline, Abigail, Matthew, and Madeleine Grider and due to arrive in August, Frankie Renee' Posada; her sister, Linda Hodges; and her brother, Paul W. Dyess.

The last sixteen months, Loyce Marie has been a resident at Legacy Rehab and Care Facility in Corsicana, Texas. The Bristol Hospice staff took charge to make certain her final days were the best they could possibly be. We offer a thank you and prayer of gratefulness to them.

She made friends, both residents and staff. Everyone was greeted with a smile, a wave and a "Hi" from her. It was obvious that she was one of the favorites. It was a fun sight when we wa1ked into the Valentine Party. There she sat with a crown on her head. She had been voted Valentine Queen. A family member visited very day; she was a little spoiled. When that comment was made to her, she smiled, and her friend said, "oh, do you think so?" and laughed. Loyce Marie made the world for those that knew her a better place.

Loyce Marie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all
who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed.

Graveside services to celebrate Loyce Marie's life will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
