Lupe Romero Ruiz was born February 4, 1935 in Calaveras, TX to Indalecio Romero and Guadalupe Gonzales and passed from this life on July 31, 2020 in Watauga, TX.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Dolores H. Ruiz; her son, David S. Ruiz; and her parents.

Lupe is survived by her loving children, Adam Ruiz, Chris Ruiz, Dolores Ruiz Jr, Daniel Ruiz, Eva Garcia, Joe Ruiz, Sonia Ruiz, and James Ruiz; 73 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Ophelia Romero, Raymundo Romero, Pacho Romero, Rosa Hernandez, Angie Fitzgerald, Juanita Romero, Indalecio Romero Jr, Jesse Romero, Joe Romero, and Rebecca Romero.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm in the chapel.

Funeral Mass will be at 9:00am on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster. Graveside will follow at DFW National Cemetery.
