Mae Evelyn Hendrix was born September 21, 1929 in Dallas, Texas and passed from this life on April, 26, 2023 in Lancaster, Texas.
Mae retired in 1981 from the Lancaster Independent School District after serving 15 years at the Junior High, High School, and Administration. She loved gardening, cooking, and caring for her family. She and her beloved Tom would have been married for 75 years this July.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Harwood White and her sister, Pauline McClung.
Mae is survived by the love of her life, husband, Thomas Eldon Hendrix; her daughter, Sheryl Ann Allday and husband, Ron; her daughter, Melaney Sue Dyer and husband, Ronald; her grandchildren, Joshua Allday and wife Jeanette, Elizabeth Grace Jimenez and husband Marcus, Rebekah Ingle and husband Nick, Andrea Dyer, and Briana Dyer.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 2:00pm on Thursday at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas.
