Margaret "Louise" Franklin Vitale was born July 4, 1937 in Winthrop, Massachusetts to Charles William Franklin and Ethel Hynes Daniels. She passed from this life on October 14, 2024 in Dallas, Texas.

Louise married George Albert Vitale on June 23, 1956. She was a military wife traveling the world until making Lancaster home in 1969. Louise worked for the Lancaster ISD for 23 years as a teacher's aide and principal's secretary. Not only was she active at the schools but also in her church, St. Francis. Louise served as Coordinator of Rel Ed, was a long-time member of the Altar Society, the Parish Counsel, the Lector Committee, and was honored to receive the Bishop's Service Award. Her service centered spirit also led her to volunteer at Methodist Central Hospital. Louise enjoyed singing with the Senior Serenaders, playing cards and board games, and she was an avid Bridge player.

Louise was adventurous! She loved camping at Lake Whitney, traveling, and spending time with her family. One summer when George was in Vietnam, Louise packed up her 4 children, hooked up her camper, and traveled east stopping in Kentucky, Lake Erie, Upstate New York, and Massachusetts. She and her family also enjoyed trips to the Grand Canyon, Florida, Prince Edward Island in Canada, and Niagara Falls.

She was a great conversationalist and avid reader. More than anything else, Louise was a loving wife and mother and devoted grandmother who never missed birthdays or special occasions. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Albert Vitale as well as her parents.

Louise is survived by her children, Lynne Marie Reyna and husband Roy, Edward "Ted" Franklin Vitale and wife Teresa, Bruce George Vitale and wife Beth, and Jean Marie Vitale; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild arriving soon.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home. A celebration of Louise's life will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster with a Rosary beginning at 9:00am. Interment will be immediately following at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
