Margaret Ann Schultz was born January 14, 1943 in Paris, Texas and passed from this life on July 14, 2025 in Waxahachie, Texas.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who had many loves. She greatly enjoyed fishing as they lived on the lake, gardening, cooking and catering for family and friends, and licking the honey off of her fingers after having chili rellenos and sopapillas at Poncho's! More than these, though, Margaret loved her family the most. She was the most treasured matriarch who showed unconditional love and support no matter what. Margaret showered her family with the gift of tradition and doing whatever she could to keep her family together with time.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Schultz; her parents, Silas and Willie Eaker; her sister, Christine Stanfield; and her brothers, James and Joe Eaker.
Margaret is survived by her children, Clifford and Nancy Hawkins, Kathy and Tom Whatley, and Doyle and Sandy Hawkins; her brother-in-law, Paul and Sylvia Schultz; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will have a graveside celebration of Margaret's life at 12:00pm on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster. A visitation for family and friends will be an hour prior beginning at 11:00am at Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster.
