Margaret Suzanne "Suzy" Bate was born May 12, 1936 in Alexandria, LA to Raymond and Pauline (Buxton) Head and passed from this life on December 10, 2020 in Canton, TX.

Suzy was larger than life. She loved having fun and playing cards with her bridge club. Suzy enjoyed being a teacher's aide at West Main Elementary for many years. She loved helping people and never met a stranger. Her love of life and people are what kept her going and endeared her to many.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Reginald Bate as well as her parents.

Suzy is survived by her daughter, Diana Lynne DeRossett and husband Mike; her daughter, Betty Elaine Robinson and husband Jerry; her son Gordon Reginald Bate; her son, Khinh Bate and wife Lisa; her brother, Rex Head and wife Rowena; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Private services for family only will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Suzy's name.
