Margie Maye Herring was born May 14, 1929 in Knox County, TX to Walter Lee and Ottie Faye (Winningham) Coody and passed from this life on October 24, 2019 in Dallas, TX.

Margie loved working in her garden. She very much enjoyed reading and embroidery, and she especially loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Walter Paul Coody and Pete Coody.

Margie is survived by her husband of 72 years. Weldon F. Herring; her son, Rob Herring and his wife Polly; her grandchildren, Lindsey Park and husband Colin, William Herring and wife Anna Lee, and Haley Clark and husband Joe; her great-granchildren, Caleb Park, Camden Park, Hattie Clark, and Jack Clark; her brothers, Donnie Coody and wife Jane, and Ronald Coody and wife Jeanette.

Graveside service will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at DFW National Cemetery.
