Maria Victoria Varela Gonzales was born December 18, 1932 in Gallup, New Mexico to Ignacio & Martina (Torres) Varela and passed from this life February 9, 2020 in Waxahachie, TX.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Pedro, Nora, Jorge, and Kika; and her parents.

Victoria was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Despite her large family, Vicky always made time for everyone. She will always be remembered for the love and support she gave to her family. There will be many fond memories of her singing, cooking, her contagious laughter, and her honesty. Truly an exceptional matriarch, she instilled the values of family, forgiveness, strength, hope, and positivity, reminding us all to sing and not cry.

Victoria is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Gonzales; her children, Ofelia Fernandez and husband Juan, Jose Gonzales and wife Jana, Virginia Gonzales and husband Eddie, Esteban Gonzales, Maria Guerrero and husband Jorge, Gabriela Madrid and husband Ruben; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Nacho, Kiko, Delia, Linda, and Tina.

Her family is blessed to have had someone so perfect in their lives. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster, TX with Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Thursday, February 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, TX.

Victoria era una esposa, madre, abuela y hermana excepcionales. A pesar de su gran familia, Vicky siempre hizo tiempo para todos. Siempre será recordada por el amor y el apoyo que le dio a su familia. Habrá muchos buenos recuerdos de su canto, cocina, su risa contagiosa y su honestidad. Realmente una matriarca excepcional, inculcó los valores de la familia, el perdón, la fuerza, la esperanza y la positividad, recordándonos a todos que cantemos y no lloremos.

A Victoria le sobreviven su amado esposo, Eddie Gonzales; sus hijos, Ofelia Fernández y su esposo Juan, José Gonzales y su esposa Jana, Virginia Gonzales y su esposo Eddie, Esteban Gonzales, María Guerrero y su esposo Jorge, Gabriela Madrid y su esposo Rubén; 23 nietos; 49 bisnietos; 5 tataranietos; y hermanos, Nacho, Kiko, Delia, Linda y Tina.

Su familia tiene la bendición de haber tenido a alguien tan perfecto en sus vidas. La vamos a extrañar muchísimo y para siempre en nuestros corazones.

La familia recibirá amigos de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. el miércoles 12 de febrero de 2020 en Byrum Funeral Home Chapel en Lancaster, TX, y el rosario comenzará a las 7:00 p.m. La misa fúnebre será a las 10:00 a.m., el jueves 13 de febrero de 2020 en la Iglesia Católica St. Joseph en Waxahachie, TX.
