Marvin Walter Staton, Sr. age 83, was born on May 15, 1938 to George Dewey and Annie Laura (Charles) Staton. He was called home on February 7, 2022 in Red Oak, TX.
Marvin was a family man. He loved his family and cherished every moment spent together. He was a hard worker, and after 42 years, he retired from his position as general manager at VCP.
Marvin was preceded in death by his mother; his father; his wife, Shirley Ann Staton; and his son,
Marvin "Rusty" Staton, Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Terry Staton and wife Jema, Scott Staton, Jay Staton and wife Mandy; his daughters, Kim Bell and husband Spencer, and Deborah Busbee and husband Jimmy; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Byrum Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster, TX. Interment at Little Bethel Cemetery, Duncanville, TX.
