Mary Yvonne Staton was born December 4, 1942 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Charles and Elizabeth (Moore) Yoder and passed from this life on February 7, 2021 in Denton, Texas.

Mary was a strong woman who had a lot of loves in her life. She loved her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. Mary loved to go on walks with Norman. She also loved crafts such as scrapbooking, crocheting and needlepoint. Mary was also a very loving person as displayed in her professions. She was both a retired ICU Nurse as well as a retired funeral director and embalmer. She clearly loved taking care of people.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Norman Dewey Staton, Sr.; her children, Eugene Staton, Norman Dewey Staton, Jr., Lori Staton, Tony Staton, and Darrin Staton; her sister, Frankie Abercrombie; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
