Mary Roberts Sweeden was born April 28, 1940 in Aledo, TX to Glenn and Juanita Wooley and passed from this life on December 16, 2023 in Mesquite, TX.
Mary had many things she loved to do. She loved cooking and had incredible dressing at Thanksgiving. She also loved dancing, shopping, and traveling coast to coast. Of all of the things that Mary enjoyed, she loved her family the most. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Donald & Doyle Wooley.
Mary is survived by her husband, John Allen Sweeden; her son, James Martin Roberts; her son, Johnny Roberts and wife, Sonia; her granddaughters, Emily Roberts, Brittney Roberts, and Alexis Roberts; and her great-grandsons, Weston and Colton.
Family will receive friends from 9:30am – 10:30am on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a celebration of Mary's life beginning at 10:30am. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.
