Melinda Kay (Kay-C) Eddy was born September 12, 1958 in Dallas, TX and passed from this life on September 28, 2023 in Lancaster, TX.

Kay graduated from Lancaster High School in 1977 and loved all things Lancaster. As a matter of fact, she had many loves. Kay loved red roses. She enjoyed different foods. Most of all, she loved and adored her nieces and nephews. Kay was a loving and caring person who loved the Lord and everyone around her. It wasn't always easy, but Melinda Kay fought hard!

She was preceded in death by her father, Roth Alvin Clyde Eddy; her mother, Charlene Joquetta Smith Eddy; and her brother, Roth Alvin Clyde Eddy, Jr.

Kay is survived by her brothers and sisters, Jim & Janet Eddy, Charlene Diann & Danny Gonzales, Tammy & Jim Cornish, Cathy Stoffers, Sherri & Michael Dunne; numerous nieces and nephews; a multitude of great nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends and relatives.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home. A celebration of Kay's life will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Edgewood Cemetery immediately following.
