It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Herminia (Minnie) Felicidad Herrera Narmour from Lancaster, Texas. She was born July 11, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas and passed suddenly on June 17, 2025, at the age of 88.

In her early 20's, she met the love of her life, George Narmour, and soon moved to South Oak Cliff where they raised four children. They later moved to DeSoto and after the passing of her husband at the age of 48, she moved to Lancaster, Texas.

Her passions were cooking, shopping for bargains, and gardening! She loved baking treats for all her neighbors and friends. Another specialty that we all loved was her Carne Guisada which we all called "hot meat." In her younger years, swing dancing was another passion but, most of all, her grandchildren brought her the most joy. Mom was a loving, giving soul with a huge heart and she was loved by many. She loved all animals and was a big supporter of the SPCA and St. Jude.

She worked for Safeway for years as a meat wrapper until they closed. She then moved on to work for Tom Thumb where most people knew her in the Deli until she retired. We all heard many stories of her creations and the joy she brought to many people.

She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Herrera Sr., mother, Herminia Herrera, brother,
Manuel Herrera Jr., sister, Delores Pelligrino, husband, William George Narmour, and her dog, Cracker.

She is survived by her four children, Gloria Kiani, Karla Spigariol, Derrick Narmour, and Belinda Narmour, her grandchildren, Natasha Kiani Mattson and husband, Tom, Jon Narmour, Anthony Spigariol and great grandchildren, Sophia Kiani and Logan Mattson. She is also survived by her nieces, Cynthia and Gina Pelligrino, honorary son, Hassan Kiani, and her dog, Gracie.

At her request, her body was donated to UT Southwestern for medical research.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at St. Francis Catholic Church located at 1537 Rogers Ave., Lancaster, Texas 75134.
