Nancy Moncrief Worley was born October 2, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Elmer and Juanita Moncrief. She passed from this life on September 18, 2017.
Nancy graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1966. She attended El Centro Community College and earned an Associates in Nursing Degree. She was a registered nurse and worked at John B. Chester Hospital and Medical Center of Lancaster for over thirty years. She also worked at Ennis Regional Hospital for three years.
Nancy was a longtime member of Beltline @ Main/Northside Church of Christ in Lancaster. She most recently attended North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington. Despite long hours as a nurse who was often on call, she was always present at every one of her children's events even being a Girl Scout leader. She was loved as a second mom by many of her children's friends. Grammy was loved by her grandchildren and she adored them as well. She was an avid reader and loved to sew and create ceramics. She loved to travel culminating in her most recent trip to Scotland with her best friend since childhood, Kathy Ferguson.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Worley (married in 1966 until his death in 2008). She is survived by children Kevin Worley & wife Carol and children Kyle, Kristen, Keith, and Katie; Rachel Dahlem & husband John and child Timothy; siblings Lewis Moncrief & wife Delzene and children, Ben Moncrief & wife Sandra and children, Judy Lovelace & husband John, Steve Moncrief & children.
