Natosha Lynn Rickard Tye was born June 26, 1978 in Dallas, TX and passed from this life on July 8, 2022 in Dallas, TX.

Tosha embodied grace, passion, love, and beauty. She loved music, reading, history, and politics. Strong willed, some might even say hard- headed, she loved a good debate. But the place that sparked that fire inside of her is the same place her love and affection stemmed from and it burned just as strong. If you were lucky enough to have her in your life and love you, you were blessed. She loved with everything she had. She was funny and witty. Her beautiful smile and bright eyes could light up a room.

Tosha always had faith in The Lord and that faith was tested over these past eight months, yet she never wavered, not once. She put her trust completely in God's plan for her and fought courageously with every ounce of her being. Tosha knew The Lord and she knew that when her time on this earth was done, she would be sitting with him in Heaven. Tosha wanted each of us to walk away knowing that she loved us so very much and that we will meet again one day in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her Angel Baby; her daddy, William David Rickard; and her sister, Jessica Rickard.

Tosha is survived by her husband, Gary Tye; her God-Daughters, Ava Greer, Emmie Greer, Nyla Mixon, and Zelda Mixon; her mother, Colleen Rickard; her brother, David Rickard; her nephews, William Rickard III and Ayden Rickard; her cousin that's more like her sister, Brandi Jones; her special aunt, Lisa Sutton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster, TX. A celebration of Tosha's life will be at 10:00am on Thursday, July 14, 2022 also at Byrum Chapel with burial immediately following at Red Oak Cemetery.
