Nettie Wynona "Nenaw" Jonte Haney was born March 1, 1934 in Dallas, TX to Paul Sr. & Grace Jonte. She passed from this life at home in Red Oak, TX on November 4, 2023.
Wynona was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and just the sweetest person and friend to all. She was a much loved and faithful employee for the Red Oak Independent School District for 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Glendon Haney; her brother, Paul, Jr; her parents, Paul Sr. & Grace; and so many close friends.
Wynona is survived by her son, Glendon E. Haney, Jr.; her daughter, Sha Butler & husband, Phillip; her grandchildren, Jeremy Haney, Schad Haney & wife Amanda, Cole Butler & wife Sarah, Karlee Butler Kennedy & husband Joe; her great-grandchildren, Grace Butler, Nicholas Haney, LeAnn Haney, Hudson Butler, Nolan Butler, Beckett Butler, Knox Butler, Emmett Kennedy, Reagan Butler, Baylor Butler, Rowan Kennedy and Hayden Kennedy.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a celebration of Wynona's life beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be made in Wynona's name to the Red Oak Education Foundation or the Red Oak United Methodist Church.
