Nina Sue Perdue was born April 22, 1932 in Detroit, Texas and passed from this life the day before her 94th birthday on April 21, 2026 in Dallas, Texas.

Sue loved music. She was a pianist and organist. From the time she was 11 years old until she was 89 years old, she played for services in many churches. Sue also loved flowers. Every spring and summer, she had many pots that she planted that lined her patio and garden. Along with those, she also had many flowering trees that she loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elvin M. Perdue; her father, Joseph Wilford Meers; her mother, Harriett Christina Martin Meers; her sister, Ruby Nell Perdue; and her nieces, Elizabeth, Debbie, and Melody.

Sue is survived by her son, Bobby Glenn Perdue and his wife, Sandra; her grandsons, Jeremy Perdue and Keith Perdue; her granddaughter, Sara Perdue; her nephews, Jerry Perdue, Ronny Perdue, and Ricky Perdue; and her nieces, Janice Porter and Marshia Hensley.

A celebration of Sue's life will be at a 12:30pm graveside on Monday, April 27, 2026 in Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm also on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Byrum Funeral Home prior to the graveside.
