Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia "Patsy" Clydene Rodgers, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Patricia entered peacefully into the Father's arms at the age of 91 at her home in Lancaster, Texas on May 27, 2025. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Luther Clyde and Earlie Agnes (Murphy) Price. Patricia and her mother quickly relocated following her father's death to what she would refer to as her hometown of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was known for her outstanding attention to detail which carried her far in her career as an accountant for the Sears, Roebuck Company and later as her beloved husband's right-hand woman as they owned multiple businesses. Aside from this, she was known among her family for her cleanliness of home and her appearance often being pinned with the nickname "Mrs. Clean." Above all else, she was a devoted loving wife to her husband Floyd R. Rodgers and the best mother to her only child Floyd L. Rodgers. When she wasn't devoting her time to her family, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. She was steadfast in her faith no matter the trials that she came across throughout her life and imparted those same beliefs in her family. Her granddaughters will remember her for introducing them to the Bible and teaching them how to cook as she was the most talented cook.
Now, as Patricia rests peacefully with the Lord. We find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her husband and beloved mother and father. We celebrate that she is experiencing the joys of eternity and that she is free from the pain and suffering she endured during her time on earth and find solace in the fact that we will one day see and rejoice with her again.
Patricia is survived by her son Floyd L. Rodgers and wife Teresa, her granddaughters, Melissa Rodriguez and husband Thomas, and Sarah Rodgers. Additionally, she is survived by her great-grandson Abel Rodriguez as well as numerous extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd R. Rodgers, mother and father Earlie Agnes and Luther Clyde Price.
