Patricia Marlene "Pat" Royder was born August 12, 1937 in Houston, TX and passed from this life on September 25, 2023 in Dallas, TX.

Pat got her husband through medical school with 4 children and raised them in Lancaster. She started 2 resale clothing shops on the Historic Town Square of Lancaster and was a major driver in bringing music and arts festivals to the square. She weathered through the tornado that struck Lancaster and the Town Square as well as helped them rebuild. She went on to have a wonderful life with old friends and new. Pat never met a stranger. She traveled extensively making friends along the way. She was a positive, uplifting person that we should all aspire to be like. She made a lot of fond memories with friends and loved ones. Pat was one of the good ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Royder and her daughter, Brittney Royder.

Pat is survived by her 3 remaining children, Clay, Brad, and Randi Royder; her grandchildren, David, Mark, & Megan Matthews and Katerina & Alexandra Royder; and her great-grandchildren, Leo, Finnley, KK, and one on the way.

A diamond of a gal, this you can trust.
But now she will forever remain, a beloved piece of dust.
She meant a lot to the people she had touched,
I for one, can attest, oh so much.
She leaves us now, with fond memories abound,
Cry for her not, but if there must be a sound,
Make it a joyful sound, and may it be heard all around."

Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas.
