On August 6, 2021, Paula Keith Dayter, wife, mother and grandmother, unexpectedly passed away in Red Oak, Texas at the age of 59.

Paula was born on December 3, 1961 in Dallas, TX. She was a loving wife to her husband of 23 years and devoted mother and grandmother to her daughter and two grandsons. She spent the majority of her life as a property supervisor. Paula was very active in her community whether it be helping make programs for the Red Oak Football Association or being team mom for her daughter's cheerleading and softball teams.

Paula was a mother or "mommy" to many. Wherever she was, she made it feel like home. Her house was always a home away from home for so many people. Many of her nieces and nephews spent numerous summers with her as well as friends of her daughter's that she claimed as her own. You could always count on her to be your number one supporter and fan. She made an enormous impact on everyone she came into contact with. Paula also made the effort to have a special relationship with all of her family members that was unique to each person especially her nieces and nephews, whom she adored. She was also a very proud godmother (dad) to her goddaughter. She never hesitated taking on a parental role in a child's life.

Paula was a strong believer in the Lord and would often write down scriptures that would help her through difficult times in her life. She would always rely and fall back on God to get her through anything and everything. She enjoyed scrapbooking her favorite memories and countless bingo nights with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Keith; her mother, Faye Keith; and her brothers, Tony Keith, Mark Keith, and Bobby Keith.

Paula is survived by her husband, John Dayter Jr.; her daughter, Clara Fox Tyler; her grandsons, Salem and Jericho Tyler; her goddaughter, Chelsea Sanchez and family; her brother, Jimmy Keith; her sister-in-law, Brenda Keith; her brothers-in-law, Ernie Dayter and Steve Dayter; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm, Thursdady, August 12, 2021 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a celebration of Paula's life beginning at 12:00pm in the chapel.

Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, TX.
