Phyllis Josephine Bannister Wear departed this life on May 30,2019.
She was born December 15, 1930 in Winter Haven, Florida to the late Furman Bannister and Phyllis Clarke Bannister.
She was a member of the Latter Day Saints, starting in the early seventies. Her love for story writing and poems showed in the many books she wrote on family history.
While in the Navy, she loved acting in plays and met William M. Ott, the father of her two children, William E. Ott and Patricia S. Wesson. Their marriage ended in divorce.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband Jack Wear; brothers David Bannister, Bob Bannister, Sr. and Philip Taylor; and sister Rosemary Ross.
Phyllis's memory will be cherished by her son, William E. Ott & wife Sandra Ott; daughter Patricia S. Wesson; three grandchildren Barbara Miller, Leah Engel and David Ott; seven great grandchildren Shyanne, Taylor, David Jr., Andrew, Jon, Jude, and Rowan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will not be having any gatherings after the ceremony at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Thank you for attending.
