Randy Lynn Martin, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Randy went to the Lord peacefully in his home with his family by his side.

Randy was born on Friday, April 30, 1953 in Dallas, TX to Joseph and Tommie Martin. He was a man of faith who accepted Jesus Christ and loved his family and friends dearly. Randy was a determined entrepreneur who had a passion for building sustainable businesses for the benefit of the customers he served and the family he so loved. He enjoyed and spent most of his time with family and friends riding motorcycles, playing sports, hunting, fishing, listening to music, driving classic cars, and being the best husband, father, and gran-daddy that he could be.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Duckett Martin; his mother, Tommie Jean Martin; his father-in-law, William Geddes Noble; and his mother in-law Jane Noble Couch.

Randy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Chris Martin; his sons aka "the boys," Phillip, Kenny, and Robert Martin; his daughters-in-law, Allison, Corinne, and Kate Martin; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Caroline, Catherine, Carter, and Maelyn Martin; his brother Jimmy Martin; his sister-in-law Cari Martin; and a host of extended family, business associates, and friends.

Randy met the love of his life in Dallas, TX at the age of 12 when Chris moved from Houston into a house across the street from Randy. Randy and Chris married 8 year later and spent a total of 55 years together as a couple. The boys and their families want to send a very special thank you to their mother for her unwavering love and tireless commitment to doing whatever it took to help their father battle against LBD with Parkinsonism and live the best life he and they could, especially during the last 5 years.

Celebration of life will be at 12:30pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will immediately follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park at 3:00pm.

As many may know, Randy was diagnosed with and battled Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) with Parkinsonism for 11+ years. LBD is a disease that affects more than 1.4 million individuals and their families in the US but despite this impact, there is extremely low awareness among people (including Health Care Professionals) of the signs, symptoms, diagnostic criteria, or even that this devastating disease exists.
