Robert K. Swinford, affectionately known as "Bob" or "Bobbo," passed away on January 1, 2025, at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. He was 69 years old.
A devoted husband, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie Ellen Swinford, who was the love of his life and his rock. Together, they shared countless adventures from attending concerts to taking road trips and relaxing at the beach. Their bond was one of true partnership filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Bob is survived by his loving children, Justin Keith, Brandon, Nicole, Justin R, and Jonathan. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He also shared a deep and enduring bond with his three brothers, Evan, David, and Jerry. They were a constant source of love, strength, and support for one another throughout their lives, embodying the true spirit of brotherhood.
Bob's life was further enriched by his beloved dog, Deogee, who he spoiled endlessly. The two were inseparable, working side by side on the farm.
Bob was a man of exceptional character—selfless, loyal, and full of humor. Known for his lighthearted nature, he brightened the lives of everyone he met. He maintained an interest in history and enjoyed adventures to museums, car races, air shows, and flea markets. A skilled mechanic and a tireless worker, Bob took pride in caring for his farm and trailer community. He was meticulous in all he did, including always pressing his shirts—a small testament to the care and dedication he applied to life.
Bob's legacy is one of love, laughter, and hard work. He was cherished by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Bob. Your love, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
A celebration of Bob's life will be at 11:00am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.
