Robert Hutchins "Hutch" Shaver was born June 6, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed from this life on February 16, 2025 in Dallas, Texas.

Hutch graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport in 1967. He went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He had many different skills on his resume, but being a truck driver was on top. Because of all of the connections he learned to make, he never met a stranger. Hutch had many things he enjoyed. He loved to golf and bowl, and he was also a history buff who loved watching the History Channel. More than these, he loved being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Shaver and his mother, Ann Jean Wells Shaver.

Hutch is survived by his beloved wife, Mary McBroom Shaver; his sons, Brian L. Shaver and Cody H. Shaver; his granddaughter, Aleksandra Shaver; his sister, Melanie Shaver; and numerous brothers and sisters in law as well as nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Hutch's life will be by graveside at 10:00am on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
