Ronald Gene Dawson was born January 24, 1950 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and passed from this life on January 14, 2021 in Waxahachie, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Peggy (Young) Dawson.
Ron is survived by his son, Christopher Dawson and wife Sarah; his granddaughter, Hadley Grace; his sisters, Jan Kennedy and fiancé Donnie, Margie Graham and husband Bob; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Ron shared a loving relationship with Carolyn Beutler for 27 years. Ron was a father figure, grandfather, and friend to her family as well: son, Chad Wammack and wife Cammie, Clay Beutler and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Carsen Wammack, Molly Beutler, Josephine (Joey) Beutler, and Jack Beutler.
