Ruby Orelia Patterson was born November 9, 1920 in Rogers, TX to Emil and Vera Salach and passed from this life on April 23, 2020 in Forney, TX.

Ruby was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Wilmer where she was baptized many years ago. She was a hard worker who loved sewing and quilting. More than these, she loved her family and grandchildren. She babysat her grandchildren as often as she could and offered to do the same with her great-grandchildren often.

She was preceded in death by loving husband, Howard Patterson; children, Billy Patterson, Bobby Patterson, Betty Slater, Howard Patterson, Earl Patterson; grandson, Thomas Curtis; and great-grandson, Jordan Toland.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Slough, Claudine Lenamond and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Diane, Phyllis Ann, Rick, Sherry, Shelly, Jason, Laura Faye, Billy, Laura, Joseph, Bobbie Lynn, Brenda, Linda, James Thomas, Kerrie Lynn, Kristi, and Brandy; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vera Faye Kutej and Florence Doyal.
