Russell W. "Rusty" Wells was born June 23, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Mary Louise (Schuler) Wells and passed from this life on May 18, 2023 in Waco, Texas.

Rusty loved being outdoors displaying his fishing and hunting skills. More than these, he loved spending time being together with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert D. Wells and Stephen M. Wells; and his wife, Patricia Ann Wells.

Rusty is survived by his sister, Martha Ann Wells Harrison; his brother, James D. Wells; his nephew, Stephen M. Wells; his nieces, Marti Ann Morency, Pam Louise High, Christina A. Cleveland, and Mamie Green; and many great nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Rusty's life will at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 also at Byrum Chapel. A private interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park will be held later.
