Salvador Compass Pena was born November 9, 1932 in Eden, Texas to Lorenzo and Jacoba (Compass) Pena. He passed from this life on December 29, 2017.

Salvador graduated from Eden High School. He attended college in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in the Korean War and was certified as a licensed airplane and diesel mechanic. He received his pilot certification. He worked at FFE as a head foreman and mechanic. He also worked at Lancaster Airport and Dallas Airport.

Salvador loved to plant and make things beautiful. He was a big jokester and enjoyed telling corny jokes.

Salvador is survived by Cassie Pena; children Casimira "Angel" Pena, Rigo & Salvarina Mares; grandchildren Anthony Toby Bear & Breeanna Pena, Lariza & Juan Hernandez, Lissette Mares; great grandchild Liah Pena; pets Misha, Kisha, Bebet, Alezy, Polly, and Chapita.

Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Military honors at 1:00 PM Thursday at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Assemble in Lane 1 at 12:45 PM for procession into cemetery at 1:00 PM
