Mrs. Shirley M. Jackson Smith of Baltimore, Maryland, formerly of Pittsylvania County, departed this life on Friday, January 18, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Born February 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Hammock and Virginia A. Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; one sister, Wilma J. Carter Hart and one brother, James H. Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Kim Renee Smith of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Lucy Ann J. Sanford (Ernest) and Kathy J. Myers (James), all of Danville, Virginia and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 12 noon at the Cherrystone Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd O. Jones, eulogist.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
