Terry McCary was born on February 16, 1962 to William Fredrick McCary and Mamie Jo McCary who preceded him in death along with his oldest daughter, Lisa Marie McCary.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathy McCary; his 2 daughters, Kristi McCary and Heather Ashcraft; his 2 sons-n-law, Roy Jr Petty and Montrell Ashcraft; his 7 grandchildren, Mariah Zuniga, Andrew Zuniga, Marcos Rodriguez Jr, Natavaeh Petty, Zackariah Richardson, Montrell Ashcraft Jr, and Tyra Ashcraft; his 3 adopted grandchildren, Shelby Hasting, Kobe Griffin, and Cameron Stone; his 3 sisters, Diane Walton, Sue Gonzales, and Betty Lujan; and his 2 brothers, Freddie and Jerry McCary.

He was a son, a father, a husband, a brother, a grandpa, and a friend.

Terry was a strong-minded person that everyone loved. He was a wise man that made sure his family was taught well. He always knew how to have a good time. He loved watching the game as well as racing. Most of all, he loved his family. He was known for his tough love and his guidance.

Terry lost his battle to health issues on May 15, 2022 at the age of 60 surrounded by many loved ones who will honor his memory.

Family will have a visitation from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.
