Texas B. Nelson, Jr. was a very special man. He was born on May 2, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Martha and Texas Nelson.
Texas loved family gatherings and parties. His favorites were the Oklahoma family reunions and rodeos, staying with Charles and Cariol Nelson. He was a big sports fan, participating and watching. Texas participated in Special Olympics from the age of 8 until he was 55. He went to the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China in 2007 and brought home a gold and three silver medals in swimming.
Texas B. Nelson, Jr. passed from this life on July 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father Texas B. Nelson, Sr. in 2015 and close family friend Jack Lowrey.
He is survived by his mother Martha Nelson; sisters Rebecca Kent & husband Bill Kent, Robin Caplinger & husband Carl Pavelka. He is loved by many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He will also be missed by his foster family Linda & Rodney Cottingham, along with their whole family.

Texas will be placed with his father in the Columbarium at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
