Thomas Eldon Hendrix was born July 8, 1930 in Thornton, Texas and passed from this life on July 6, 2024 in Lancaster, TX two days before his 94th birthday.

Thomas started working at Dallas Power and Light retired in 1981 after it became Oncor. He loved gardening and working in his yard. If he wasn't in the yard, he was working on his cars. He and his beloved Mae would have been married for 76 years this month.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mae Evelyn Hendrix; and his parents, Keith and Nora Hendrix.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Sheryll Ann Allday and husband, Ron; his daughter, Melaney Sue Dyer and husband, Ronald; his grandchildren, Joshua Allday and wife Jeanette, Elizabeth Grace Jimenez and husband Marcus, Rebekah Engle and husband Nick, Andrea Dyer, and Briana Dyer; and his great-granddaughter, Avery Dyer.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 10:30am on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 11:00am on Thursday at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas.
