Vick Woolsey was born June 30, 1942 in Abilene, TX to Elmer Harold and Willie Mae (Holden) Woolsey and passed from this life on April 7, 2022 in Cedar Hill, TX.
Vick is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carmela Woolsey; his daughter, Kendra Turnbow and husband Chris; his son, Travis Woolsey; his son, Marc Woolsey and wife Amy; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Vick had such a fondness for all his grandkids! He was always the first one to the hospital to hold them when they were born.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberley Woolsey Lamb.
Vick had such a deep love for his family. He especially enjoyed the family get togethers. There was always good food, and he loved playing games with everyone. Vick had such a servant's heart. He always made sure that everyone ate before he did and was always the last one out of the kitchen when cleaning time came.
Vick opened his first Farmers Market in the mid-1970's. His produce journey took him through six wonderful locations over 40 years. Customers always loved his friendliness and farm fresh produce. He touched many lives along the way and left behind an amazing legacy for all his family.
A celebration of Vick's life will be at graveside on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 10:00am in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.
