After a courageous battle against cancer, Vickie Wier, a lifelong resident of, Lancaster, Texas, died Saturday the 8th of June at her home, at the age of 67.

She was born in Dallas, Texas on December 19, 1956 to Billy and Marie Wier of Lancaster. Vickie was known to light up the room with her smile and wit. She was a devoted daughter, cousin, and friend. She loved spending time with people, sharing stories, going to the beach, attending concerts, going to dinner, and just hanging-out! More than anything, she was always ready to gather and engage in loved one's lives.

Vickie's working career included thirteen years at Sears and Roebuck. Most recently, she was employed by Gemini Incorporated where she earned the award Vendor Staff Person of the Year. Vickie made many lasting friendships with her co-workers.

Vickie is preceded in death by her father, Billy Wier, her grandparents, Lewis and Alice Roushey of Lancaster, and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her mother, Marie Wier and several cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends of whom brought great joy to her life.
