Virginia R. Garza Chappa was born December 26, 1934 in Seguin, TX to George P. and Hilaria Rodriguez and passed from this life on March 4, 2023 in Dallas, TX.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Garza; her son, Joe Garza, Jr; her son, Ralph Garza; and her parents.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Grady Chappa; her daughter, Carmen Hasselbach and husband Jon; her daughter, Patricia Knickles; her daughter, Yolanda Terrell; her step-daughter, Linda Cherry and husband Doug; her grandchildren, Bernadette and husband Robert, Stephanie and husband Shane, Frankie and husband Brandon, Joey, Austin, Elliott, Brittany, Marissa, Anthony, Ella, Lucas and wife Karla, Auriel, Dominique, and Evelina; her great-grandchildren, Brynna, Morgan, Clarissa, Bailey, Sebastian, Shiloh, Beau, Rian, Miles, Salvador, Sophia, and Amelia; her great-great-grandson, Onyx; her siblings, Edmundo, Carlos, Oralia, Roy, and Rosalinda; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary beginning at 6:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster with burial immediately following in Edgewood Cemetery.
