Walter Jene "Ted" Carroll was born January 2, 1931 in Three Rivers, TX to Walter Jepathy Carroll and Bertie Jackson Carroll and passed from this life on February 10, 2021 in Grand Prairie, TX.
Ted was a hard-working entrepreneur. He grew up in during the depression and was often hungry as a child. He swore he would never have to do that again, and he didn't. He had many businesses that he built from the ground up and was a master at them all. Ted was an incredible provider for his family and worked tirelessly to make sure they had everything they needed.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Louis Carroll; his daughter, Linda Reeder; his parents; his brothers, Johnny, Leslie, Clyde, Charlie, and Jerry; and his sister, Velma.
Ted is survived by his son, David Carroll; his daughter, Janice Gray and husband, Tracy; his daughter, Patty Hilton and husband, Suel; his sisters, Bessie Carroll, Ozella Lipscomb and husband, John; his grandchildren, Avery and Laura Gray, Rick Reeder, Tracy Reeder, Chris Souder, Derek Souder, and Scotty Ray Weekly; his great-grandchildren, Ely, Ty, Branson, Trey, and Emma; and his second wife, Nell Stogner Carroll.
Family will receive friends from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.
Celebration of Life will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 also at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Walter "Ted" Carroll's honor to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
