Wanda Joyce Roark Montgomery Allen was born March 3, 1933 in Ladonia, TX to Walter Allen and Gladys Pauline (Whitt) Roark and passed from this life December 9, 2020.

Wanda was baptized as a young child and diligently served God through the Methodist church.

Wanda loved people and she never met a stranger. Wanda retired from the Greenville, TX office of Farmers Home Administration with nearly 30 years of service in 1992. She absolutely loved cooking for her family and friends. Like her mother, Wanda's favorite time of year for cooking was Christmastime. She made endless batches of candy and pies to give as gifts and for loved ones to enjoy. Her love for family and friends was always shining through in her smile. She greatly enjoyed caring for others. Wanda was one of a kind and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter Roark; her mother Gladys Whitt Roark; her husband Welton Allen; her brother John Roark; her sons Terry and Danny Montgomery; her daughter Glenna Montgomery Reames; and her step-father Raymond Edward Trotter.

Wanda is survived by her sister Linda Jennings; sister-in-law Kaki Roark; son-in-law Ray Reames; her granddaughter Delena Reames Sample and husband Randy; great grandson Lucas Sample; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service for Wanda will be held at a later date at Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster, TX.
