Weldon Frank Herring was born July 5, 1926 in Rhineland, TX to Frank and Jessie (Decker) Herring and passed from this life on December 8, 2019 in Dallas, TX.

Weldon had many things he loved. Fishing, hunting, coin collecting, and playing dominoes were a few of them. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. More importantly than all of these, he loved his grandkids and great-grandkids the most.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Margie, in October; his parents; 2 sisters and 6 brothers.

Weldon is survived by his son, Rob Herring and his wife Polly; his grandchildren, Lindsey Park and husband Colin, William Herring and wife Anna Lee, and Haley Clark and husband Joe; his great-grandchildren, Caleb Park, Camden Park, Hattie Clark, and Jack Clark.

Graveside service with Naval Honors will be at 9:30am on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at DFW National Cemetery.
