Sunrise for Werner Lloyd Dyer was April 8,1922 to Leonard Lloyd and Sammie Enid (Rasco) Dyer. Sunset was September 29, 2020.

Werner was both a giving and kind preacher and carpenter by trade. He was also the oldest living alumni of Arlington Baptist University where a scholarship is established in his honor. He touched everyone's life he came in contact with in some form or fashion.

He and his wife of 69 years, Frances, had no children of their own so everyone they met quickly became family. Frances preceded him in death along with his brother, Jimmy Dyer and his 2 sisters, Maydel Bethel and Laverne Dyer along with his parents.

Werner is survived by his great nephew, Raymond Shields; Great nieces, Renata Clark and Cindy Gay Jones; and a host of multiple generations of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.

A celebration of Werner's life will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 am at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster, Texas, followed by a private graveside service at a later date.
