William Lovell Johnson, a lifelong resident of Lancaster, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, at the age of 98. Lovell was born on April 2, 1926, on the hill on Parkerville Road, to William Clyde Johnson and Emma Clayton Johnson. He built his life-long home just a quarter mile away from his birthplace, creating a legacy that spanned nearly a century.

Lovell proudly served his country in the United States Army from May 24, 1945, until his honorable discharge on October 15, 1946. Shortly after returning home, he married the love of his life, Mary Ellen Rowan, on August 15, 1947. Their inseparable bond was a testament to their deep love and commitment to each other; a love that lasted 66 years until the death of Mary. Together, Lovell and Mary raised four children, Mike, Craig, Tim and Julie.

Lovell was a dedicated and hardworking general contractor who specialized in home renovations. His craftsmanship and attention to detail left a lasting impact on the DFW community. In 1969, Lovell and Mary created the Parkerville East Mobile Home Park, a lovely community still in existence today.
Lovell's life was a blend of devotion to his family, his work, and his community. His legacy will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.

Lovell was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, Mike Johnson and his son, Craig Johnson.

He is survived by his son, Tim Johnson, and his daughter, Julie Swinford, as well as five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Rawlins Cemetery, Lancaster.
